SERP tracker for feature presence and ownership
An organic position is only part of the results page. SearchTracking records the search features around your tracked keywords and shows which ones include your site. Read map pack, featured snippet, People Also Ask, video, shopping, and AI Overview observations beside the ranking URL and daily position. Use that context to understand what changes even when the classic rank appears steady.
| Search feature | Presence | Ownership |
|---|---|---|
| Shopping | Yes | Yes |
| People Also Ask | Yes | No |
| AI Overview | Yes | Yes |
| Map pack | No | No |
02
Rank tracking software that records the results page
Start with feature presence for the keyword, location, and device being checked. A present feature means Google includes that element in the observed results. Ownership tells you whether your site appears within it. Keep those fields separate so the presence of a rich result does not become a claim that your domain owns it.
| Search feature | What to review |
|---|---|
| Map pack | Whether local map results appear and whether your business is included. |
| Featured snippet | Whether a highlighted answer appears and whether it uses your page. |
| People Also Ask | Whether related questions appear and whether your site is represented. |
| Video | Whether video results appear and whether your site owns a recorded placement. |
| Shopping | Whether product results appear and whether your site is represented. |
| AI Overview | Whether an overview appears and whether it cites your domain. |
The daily table keeps these observations beside your classic ranking. Use the feature fields to investigate the result layout before attributing a visibility change solely to organic position.
03
Daily rank tracker columns for feature ownership
Read each keyword row in context. The position column describes organic ranking. The ranking URL identifies the page holding that position. Feature presence and ownership describe other recorded elements on the same results page.
A feature appearing without your site points to a different situation from an owned feature disappearing. Compare both with earlier observations. If a snippet remains present but your page no longer owns it, investigate the source change. If the feature disappears entirely, your content is facing a different search layout. Tags and groups help isolate the topics where those changes occur.
| Keyword | Position | Search feature | Ownership |
|---|---|---|---|
| lightweight hiking backpack | 8 | Shopping | Yes |
| waterproof hiking boots | 14 | Video | No |
04
Keyword tracker coverage through the top 100
SearchTracking checks organic positions through the top 100. A keyword outside that depth is marked accordingly, giving you a clear boundary for the measurement. It does not mean the page has disappeared from every Google result or that every feature has an equivalent organic rank.
Use the position and feature columns together. A feature placement carries its own meaning, and ownership does not replace the organic ranking field. The keyword tracker setup guide explains how domain, keyword, location, and device define a tracked row. Keeping the same context makes a daily comparison useful.
05
Local rank tracker and mobile rank tracker comparisons
Search layouts differ by location and device. Compare desktop observations with desktop history and mobile observations with mobile history. A map pack in a local result and a video feature in another context describe different searches, even when the keyword wording matches.
Country and state settings are included on every plan. Team and higher plans add city and ZIP tracking, together with competitor tracking for up to 5 domains per project. Use the same columns when comparing competitors so the location, device, and type of placement stay consistent. Broad rank movement alone does not explain who owns the features in a local result.
06
AI Overview tracker context for feature changes over time
Review the feature history when the layout around an important keyword changes. The daily record helps you distinguish a new feature, a lost placement, and an ownership change while the feature remains. Add a chart note for a content edit or a site migration so later reviews retain that context.
AI Overview presence also has a separate citation field and cited URL details. An overview can appear without citing your domain, or cite a different page from the one ranking organically. The AI Overview tracker explains those distinctions. Citation loss alerts flag a disappearance in the checked answer, while position thresholds flag classic ranking drops. Email and a daily digest are included, with Slack alerts on Team and higher plans.
07
SEO ranking report software with search feature context
Use scheduled PDF reports or live link reports to show feature observations beside positions. A report can explain that organic ranking stays steady while a snippet placement changes. CSV export supports a closer review of affected keywords outside the daily table.
Agency and Enterprise add white-label reports with your logo, colors, and domain, plus API access. For AI answers beyond the Google results page, the AI visibility tool records brand mentions in ChatGPT and Perplexity. AI answers vary between runs, so include that context when reporting observations. See rank tracking software for the complete feature list and plan limits.

SERP tracker questions
Which search features does SearchTracking record?
SearchTracking records map pack, featured snippet, People Also Ask, video, shopping, and AI Overview presence for tracked keywords. It also shows which recorded features include your site.
Does a present feature mean my site owns it?
No. Feature presence and ownership are separate fields. A feature can appear in the checked results without including your site.
What does outside the top 100 mean?
It means your page is outside the organic ranking depth checked for that keyword, location, and device. It does not establish absence from every Google result.
Can I review feature changes beside classic positions?
Yes. The daily table and history keep feature observations beside organic positions and ranking URLs, so you can compare changes within the same tracking context.
